When you find yourself stuck in a negative thought pattern, take a moment to breathe. Slowly exhale for 3 to 7 seconds, thinking positive thoughts. Then deliberately inhale for 3 to 7 seconds, again focusing on positive thoughts. This breathing exercise can help to dissolve your ego and shift your perception.

According to neuroscience research, our brains are constantly changing and rewiring themselves in response to our thoughts and experiences. This process is called neuroplasticity. When we focus our thoughts on positive things, we can actually change the structure of our brains.
